Heidelberg Student Law Review (HSLR)

About us

Virtually all U.S. law schools have their own law journals, operated generally by law students. In Germany, this conceptual institution of legal academia still has not become widespread. With the establishment of the Heidelberg Student Law Review, students from the University of Heidelberg's Faculty of Law have begun to change this situation. The Heidelberg Student Law Review is led and organized by students (Team), in cooperation with members of the teaching staff (Academic Committee), and student articles compose the greater part of its content.

The primary purpose of the journal is to provide promising student writers with a platform for publication, thereby fostering the legal skills and talents they already possess. At the same time, the journal acts as a gateway of sorts for exceptional law students. That is to say, it distinguishes the most promising candidates among the next generation of legal professionals (Authors).

The journal is published three times a year and is circulated throughout all of Germany. Abstracts of the articles published in the Heidelberg Student Law Review can always be accessed on this homepage (Articles).

Since November 2003, the Heidelberg Student Law Review, e.V., has been a registered nonprofit association (Association).
